Last week was "Leader Appreciate Night" at AWANA. I wanted to give a little gift to the kids' teachers, to let them know that we appreciate all of their hard work.
The problem is that there are about 18 teachers for our 4 older kids. So, gifts can become quite costly.
My brainstorm was to fix up a little gift bag of candy for each teacher. They looked cute. They were small and thoughtful. And, they didn't break the bank.
1 pack of 20 gifts bags that came with twist ties.
2 packs of assorted mini candies/candy bars.
1 eight year old who thinks it is fun to stuff gift bags.
I typed up a thank you note on a address label template, and printed it out. A single hole punch provided a way to fasten the note to the twist tie.
The kids enjoyed passing out little gifts to their teachers.
I observed that other kids brought baggies or containers of baked goods. Hmm....that gives me good ideas for next year...
