4-Generations

Over the weekend, we enjoyed the RARE opportunity to visit with our 4-living grandparents (mine & The Referee's combined), our children's great-grandparents. I took the opportunity to snap a few photos of the generations together.

Here is a 4-generation photo of The Referee's maternal side of his family....

Here is a 4-generation photo of my maternal side of the family....we are the oldest daughter, of the oldest daughter, of the oldest daughter, of the oldest daughter....

4-generations with all of our children, not just the oldest....

This is a photo of our children, The Referee, and his grandparents...
*There are 4-generations alive on his paternal side of the family too. Unfortunately, The Referee's father is not in the picture.....not in this photo specifically, and sadly not in The Referee's life much either.

Looking over these pictures again, I realize that I need to take a 3-generation photo to include PawPaw. My Dad's parents are deceased, so 4-generations are not available on my paternal side of the family. We cherish the 3-generations with regular visits, so I need to make a point to save those memories in photos as well.

  1. I love 4 generation shots. My dad always made a point of getting pictures with his mom and his grandkids when they were together. Unfortunately, she has now passes (as have my other grandparents). So, now we just have to make sure we take four generation shots with the other side when we can!

  2. So very cool. Both Steve's and my grandparents have passed away. At least both of our parents are still alive!
