I played volleyball tonight. I had so much fun. We were short players on the team, so we got a really, really good workout tonight! I was all over the place....digging, setting, twisting, turning, serving, jumping, reaching, blocking, hitting....well, I was trying to do those things, at least! I was having fun, feeling good, and laughing with my teammates.
It has only been about 5 hours, and already my muscles are yelling at me. I wonder if I will be able to get out of bed tomorrow.
I joined a women's intermediate volleyball team this Fall. The league holds games on weekend evenings, so I get a chance to get away and play while The Referee takes care of the kids. Until this Fall, I had not played competitive volleyball since my sophomore year of high school.
